Psychologist | Psychologue

Psychological services are provided by Psychologists who hold a doctoral degree in psychology and are registered with the CPBAO. Some of our practitioners are also members of L'OPQ

Behaviour Analyst is a protected title, and individuals using this title must be registered with the CPBAO.

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) considers how the environment impacts learning and relies on direct observation and measurement to set goals, monitor change, and adjust interventions. Behaviour Analysts can help increase helpful or functional skills (e.g., communication) and/or decrease behaviours that are harmful or interfere with learning (e.g., self-injury). Intervention utilizes evidence-based procedures, such as positive reinforcement, to address a client’s concerns and needs, and to reduce interfering behaviour and increase desirable behaviour.

Psychometrist | Psychométricien(ne)

A psychometrist is a professional who specializes in administering and scoring psychological and neuropsychological tests. They work under the supervision of a registered Psychologist or Applied Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). They are responsible for ensuring patient confidentiality and maintaining accurate records of test results.

Ms. Sydney Chasty

Biography

Sydney Chasty (She/Her/Hers) completed her Master’s degree in Applied Disability Studies with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis at Brock University. She has worked in both publicly funded and private ABA therapy settings for over a decade.

Sydney is a Registered Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) and is a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst with the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

She offers ABA services to children, adolescents, adults, and their famillies in the areas of skill-based assessments, functional behavioural assessments, and ABA interventions.

Justin Coulombe

Biography

Fluent in both French and English, Justin offers exceptional bilingual client-facing support at Neurodevelopmental and Psychological Services Centre de services psychologiques et neurodéveloppementaux (NPSCSPN) as a Psychometric Assistant.

His role at the centre, which began in October 2025, builds on his previous administrative experience in a clinical context with Dr. Narvaez Linares. Currently, Justin is pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Feminism and Gender Studies at the University of Ottawa, focusing on mental health, social equity, and inclusive care.

Dr. José Angel Mendoza Herrera

Biography

Dr. Mendoza Herrera completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in adult mental health at the Université de Sherbrooke. He was extensive training in individual and group therapy as well as completing several specialized training and certification.

Dr. Mendoza Herrera is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) and l’Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ).

He offers services to adolescents and adults aged between 16 to 65 in the areas Clinical Psychology.

Dr. Lydia Muyingo
(She/Her/Hers) C. Psych

Biography

Dr. Lydia Muyingo completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Dalhousie University. She completed her pre-doctoral residency training in Clinical Child Psychology at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).

Dr. Muyingo is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). She offers intervention/psychotherapy services to children, adolescents and families aged between 6 and 17.

Dr. Nicolás Francisco Narvaez Linares

Biography

Dr. Narvaez Linares completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Behavioural Neurosciences and a concentration in Children, Adolescents and Family Services at the University of Ottawa. He pursued post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), in School Psychology at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB), and in Clinical Psychology in private practice.

Dr. Narvaez Linares is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) and l’Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ).

He offers services to children, adolescents and families aged between 2 to 19 in the areas of Clinical Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology and School Psychology.

Laurence is currently in her final year of a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Feminist and Gender Studies at the University of Ottawa.

She serves as the Practice Manager at the Neurodevelopmental and Psychological Services Centre de services psychologiques et neurodéveloppementaux (NPSCSPN). She is dedicated to providing welcoming and inclusive support to all patients and families.
